Here are a couple of thumbnails of the artworks. The full works both feature John and Rodney (aged 19-20 here), but John's not visible in the first thumbnail, and they're both out of shot in the second thumbnail. Probably because they're not wearing a hell of a lot in that one...
The first one illustrates a moment from the fic and the second's more my idea of a scene that could well have happened. Hopefully.
The story's in an AU setting and it was fun conferring with the author about what period the clothes might resemble, and the general feel of the city. I hope that my artistic licence hasn't wandered too far from the author's original vision.

Wow, this looks completely like I imagined. The steampunk-ish devices behind Rodney. Rodney's clothes (could imagine him going to Courting Day in those; though they'd also work for everyday). And the warm colors of Atlantia with the tall trees.

I can't wait to see the complete images!

Oh that's great! In my head these are Rodney's 'good' clothes for going out etc. He probably works in shirtsleeves at home, don't you think? Very happy that the art's working for you so far. :)
